University of Harvard was established in 1636 as a private, Ivy league research university, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, whose wealth, influence and rich history have made it to be one of the most prestigious universities in the world. The university was named after its first benefactor John Harvard, and is considered as one of the oldest higher learning institution in the United States of America. Harvard is a big, high residential research university. The primary cost of attendance is expensive, but the huge endowment of the University allows it to provide generous financial care and aid packages.
